Just two hours from Athens with a ferry, there is a magical place for the Yin Yang Yoga Retreat: the Spanos Apartments in Andros, Greece. Our five-nights / six-days Yoga retreat will focus on reconnecting ourselves, nature, our bodies and our minds in a picturesque scenery in Andros. During thisYoga retreat, the slow, feminine, relaxing Yin forces of life will be combined with the strong, powerful, dynamic Yang elements to create connection, balance, and harmony. In our Yoga practice, we will incorporate a dynamic form of Yoga - Rocket Vinyasa Yoga - with a relaxing practice - Yin Yoga. Each participant will practice based on their own possibilities.

Morning Rocket Vinyasa Yoga classes will awaken our bodies and nervous systems. The structured sequences of this progressive form of Ashtanga Yoga will cultivate strength, flexibility, and focus, while maintaining the evenness of breath, making the practice a moving meditation and allowing for playfulness and creativity. The Yin Yoga practice in the afternoons will bring us to the other end of the spectrum, because it emphasizes introspection and stillness. We will focus on the fascia channels, as opposed to the dynamic forms of Yoga in which the focus is on stability and the muscular system.

Complementing the physical aspects, we offer optional pranayama (breathing) and meditation classes in the mornings before our Yoga classes. Our breath is a powerful tool to bring us back to the present moment and allow us to start the day with focus and clarity.
